A few days before Christmas and finally I am featuring this Victorian Christmas tree – just in time!  Please find the pdf download file, and decorate your 1:16 model of Sussex armchair.  

The reference for this tree is from the Christmas Past exhibition at Geffrye Museum, in the 1870s period room.

クリスマスまであと数日、、やっと、ヴィクトリア朝のツリーを載せます。このサイトに来てくださった方へ、小さなプレゼントです。2つのpdfをダウンロードして切り出し、『サセックス・アームチェア』を飾りつけてください。

この飾り付けは、インテリアの歴史を時代ごとに展示する東ロンドンのジェフリー・ミュージアム恒例の『Christmas Past』のひとつ、1870年代の部屋での展示を参考にしました。

Print out the attached pdf files, on heavy weight matt printing paper/card, then cut out trees, box and background with a craft knife.  Fold up the slimmer tree without top-flag, and fold down another tree with top-flag, both at their centre.

添付のpdfを厚手の紙にプリントアウトして、ツリーと箱、背景を切り出します。少しスリムな、頂点に旗のついていないツリーを中心で手前に、旗がてっぺんに付いているツリーも中心で山折りにします。

Glue two trees together along centre line, to make them X shaped from the top view.  Fold up the box, make two spikes upwards to support tree on the top.

2枚のツリーを中心で貼りあわせ、上から見て横長のXの字になるようかたちづくります。箱を折って左右にツノが出るような位置でのりづけし、上からツリーを載せます。

Fold up the two broken lines at the top of the background.  Glue the background to the wall at top and bottom ( just a very tiny bit of glue to tack it in place if you want to remove the Christmas background later on) – completed.  Bring the chair back to the room, place the Christmas tree and add some present boxes in 1:16 if you have time!

背景の上にある破線を2カ所、手前に折り曲げ、壁のうしろに貼付けたら完成です。クリスマスの後で背景を外す場合は、接着剤を少しだけ使うか仮留め用ののりを使うと良いでしょう。椅子とツリーを飾り、時間のある方は16分の1のプレゼントを並べると、雰囲気がでます。
